Fredrick,

thanks for taking the time to comment. I have had a good look at the offending blog and have decided to remove it. It is only to be expected that some blogs will stray into non-magical topics, but this one seems to have strayed and never returned.

PD - great work on the blogosphere. I appreciate the cleaner layout. I think dropping the dead and retired blogs is a good thing. Out with the old leaves room for the new. Nature abhors a vacuum. I wonder about the inclusion of one blog that seems to spend more time with smoking bans than any magical.

I am curious as to the origin of a GREAT effect utilizing the ghost count, but am uncertain of it's original name... and would like to be able to give it proper credit in performance for my peers.
Most recently, I have seen it published as "Queens out of Control", and in past publications as "Paradigm Shift" and others.
The idea is that (ostensibly) 8 identical cards are shown in two separate piles, and through a process of individually mixing (Elmsley counts), turn face up to face down, and vice versa... after which one pile is revealed to be jokers!! (the other pile all having different backs!!)
It is far and away my favorite packet effect, but I cannot seem to find the credits to the original effect.
Could you please help me with the name of this??
I would be very greatful!

Hey PDJamez,

I'm a newcomer to the devils picturebook. Bookmarked it, I'll be back again and again.

I was wondering if you would add a link to my website. I've got some cool stuff that I've been working on for over a year. And I've kept my friends busy, ha ha.

Sorry for posting my question here, I couldn't find any other way of contacting you. I look forward to hearing from you!

I used to do a lot of balloon modeling for my wife at school carnivals -- we would sell them to raise money for her class, and every year sold out. The thing I hated was how handling balloons for a few hours would make your hands bone dry. Anyway, I never tried a fruit bowl. I think that would've gone over well. It looks pretty cool.
