I am curious as to the origin of a GREAT effect utilizing the ghost count, but am uncertain of it's original name... and would like to be able to give it proper credit in performance for my peers.
Most recently, I have seen it published as "Queens out of Control", and in past publications as "Paradigm Shift" and others.
The idea is that (ostensibly) 8 identical cards are shown in two separate piles, and through a process of individually mixing (Elmsley counts), turn face up to face down, and vice versa... after which one pile is revealed to be jokers!! (the other pile all having different backs!!)
It is far and away my favorite packet effect, but I cannot seem to find the credits to the original effect.
Could you please help me with the name of this??
I would be very greatful!

That Euan boy has sure learned a lot from my superb books, as I was saying to Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft only the other day. He fails to give me the credit I am due, though. .

Its also nice to see Euan resist the urge to make any personal attacks and flag up the contribution that both Paul Gordon and Harry Lorayne have made to card magic.

lol :p
