More issues with the tracker; timestamps on posts this time. I upgraded the backend feed processor and its all gone a bit pear shaped! Will report back on progress in due course. Once I sort this one out I think I’ll clear out the database and kick off the gathering process again. Isn’t software development a wonderful thing.
Basically, I upgraded the backend to sort out some feed problems we had and the upgraded software has indeed fixed the feed issue, but now is not reading dates from the feeds correctly. Some feeds don’t have dates as part of their post information (naughty, naughty) in which case I simply apply the date when I first saw the post. This is fine in principle but since the break in the date reader everyone seems to be posting at the same date and time.
Apologies once again, we’re getting there though.
UPDATE: Issue has been fixed! So I can now get on with the new feature set.
My thanks to John of MagicUtopia for suggesting I order the tracker by status. As you can see I actually got around to doing it.
