ITunes is to host a free video podcast from Paul Daniels. If anything is going to get the blogs going, that will. Apparently he is going to reveal some of his own effects.
Of all the magicians I thought would take advantage of the podcast medium, Paul Daniels was pretty far down the list, just slightly above Ali Bongo. Paul does run a blog and has done for some time, but it’s more a running commentary on his home life than his magic. This video podcast looks to be a different kettle of fish. At the same time that he is relaunching his own website, he is revamping and franchising his magic store. I’m not sure how the franchise is operating, but he says he is busy with his lawyers organising it, so at least he has a plan. I wait with interest to see how Mr. Daniels is going to compete with Mr. Christians Ellusionist and the mighty Penguin. Should be a giggle.
